Perez, Ramirez, & Zepeda - Maui Wildfire Relief
Donation protected
Hi everyone! Most of my family lived in the same apartment complex (pictured below) for 30+ years and the rest in other parts of Lahaina. Like many others, we lost our homes and our livelihood in the Lahaina wildfire. All we have left are personal documents and each other.
About my family:
- If you’ve ever eaten at Lahaina Coolers, Lahaina Pizza Co., Cool Cats, Captain Jack's, Down the Hatch, Amigo's, Pioneer Inn, Mala Ocean Tavern, Lahaina Grill, amongst other places that are now gone, my family made your meals. My family worked in the kitchens and rotated between locations from early morning to late night.
- They have been a strong part of the Lahaina Hispanic community helping others learn how to apply for work, insurance, schooling, and anything that has ever needed translating. We would assist MEO and the Consulate of Mexico gather people needing passport and ID renewals.
- We are also a part of the Maria Lanakila Spanish-speaking community where my wife was a sacristan and a Sunday school teacher for over 10+ years. Growing up my brothers and I (pictured) were altar servers and lectors.
- My sons graduated from community college and high school this year.
We appreciate your time in reading this and any support you can provide.
