Women's Month Monetary Drive

We are PERIOD Ontario, a chapter of PERIOD, a global youth-run nonprofit that strives to end period poverty and stigma through our three pillars: advocacy, education, and service.

A huge part of what we do is deliver menstrual products to community organizations. Help us in supporting local women's shelters and charities fighting against period poverty.

All funds will be used to purchase menstrual products that will be donated to help someone have a safe and healthy period. Today, the high cost of menstrual products restricts these essential items for homeless, low-income, and marginalized individuals. Period poverty causes menstruators to resort to dangerous alternatives such paper towels and newspapers, which heightens the risk for infection and poor mental health.

While menstruation differs between individuals, on average, one menstrual cycle uses around 17-20 pads (differing between individuals with heavier flows and shorter/longer periods). Every $5 donation funds one menstrual cycle!

A $5.00 donation could buy 21 pads!

A $10.00 donation could buy 42 pads!

A $50.00 donation could buy 210 pads!
