Perry IA, High School Washington DC Class Trip

My name is Cameron Smith, and I am a high school AP Social Studies teacher from Perry, IA. This year, our juniors have been learning about US history, and the students who either take APUSH, or score well in regular US history are invited to go on the trip. This trip is a fun chance to leave the endless fields of Iowa behind and to see our nation's history come to life on the battlefields, in the museums, and the government buildings of our nation's capital. The trip will take place this summer from June 8-13.

This has been a hard year for our students, and many kids have told me that this trip is the reason why they are looking forward to returning to school and finishing the year strong. I am so proud of the bravery and the hard work of my students, and I want to help give them the experience of their lives, and I thank you for any support you can give.
