Hi, I’m Kevin and I’ll be running the 2023 London marathon on the 23rd of April. I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible for Perrymount School in Forest Hill, South London. Perrymount is a mainstream school and also a centre of excellence for special educational needs (SEN) and as a former member of staff there I know how hard everybody at school works to deliver the best for children with and without SEN, while also teaching social skills to both sets of children that they wouldn’t get at other schools.
Perrymount’s ICT equipment could really use updating as they are still using first generation iPads, which have of course become very slow and unable to give the best learning to the children. The iPads are also used by children with SEN to help them in their learning in all areas, as well as communicating with their friends and the staff who work so hard for them.
Any donation you can make would help;
- An utterly unique and very special school to deliver the best education for each and every child.
- The staff team who consistently go above and beyond to help the school and children.
- Me to give something back to a place that gave me so much and helped me to grow as a person in the seven and a half years I worked there.
If my target is reached and there is anything extra, I know that there are others areas of the school which also could use some improvement, such as the playground. Thanks.
