PERSIST of Honesdale's Fire Relief Fund

Hi, my name is Emily Nacchio and I honestly never thought I would write one of these. Yet, due to recent unfortunate events, I came together with some friends to reach out to our community for a just cause.

Last night we lost an amazing new store on Main St in Honesdale, PA due to a fire. All of the inventory is gone. Although we're all relieved that Mayra and her cat Jabba are okay, this is an incredible loss for her and our entire community, especially on her birthday and during the holiday season. Local young artists would gather at PERSIST to present their art, professional artists would hang their commisions, and Mayra always had some of the best clothing for all sorts of needs! She always gave you service with a smile and her spunky demeanor is a welcome joy for her returning customers.

We are rallying our community together to ask that even if you can only spare a dollar, anything can help during this traumatic time in our friends life. There are many elements in regards to what happens next, and many of those things will cost money that Mayra was intending on making through her sales at the shop. Therefore, any donation is GREATLY and DEEPLY appreciated by myself and the rest of Mayra's loved ones, and our community who wants to see our friend lifted up from the ashes of an unfortunate circumstance.
