Personal alarm for girls in underprivileged areas

As a young female and more so as a human I personally feel and believe we have an obligation to do and give what we can. I have tried my best (given the limitations of being a student) by purchasing PA’s for my family members, those in their class and other young girls in my cousins school but it is not enough. 

The combination of lockdown and it getting darker in the mornings/evenings means there are less watchful eyes on the streets resulting in things going unnoticed.

Unfortunately these attacks continue to occur and are being seen more and more. As a collective must all look out for each other

Young women should NOT have to to take these precautions but I still feel it is our responsibility to protect and look after our community as best as we can.  

My aim is to distribute these Personal Alarms to young girls in underprivileged areas (SE London) where their parents potentially may not be able to afford them. South London boroughs are amongst the highest when it comes to reports on rapes and assaults. 

Please give what you can, whether via this or directly giving to those who will benefit from an alarm. Lets all do everything in our power to prevent and protect another young girl from the disastrous/long lasting effect that assault can have.
