Personal support worker lost everything in fire

Hi my name is Nancy I am the Director of a retirement home Granite Landing in Cambridge during this pandemic my team and staff have worked tirelessly to keep our residents stay safe and healthy working above and beyond!

so many of our staff will stop every thing to come in and help without question at any hour of the day!

One of our PSW Navdeep will pick up shifts last minute, work doubles on Christmas Day and be there usually within an hour if I call her! She never complains she just responds and shows up for us!

she is a foreign student who helps us whenever we need her dispite being a busy student!

 

Last night Dec 26th this Personal support worker Navdeep lost eveything she owns in a house fire!

 

all she has are her papers and the clothes on her back

she has only her brother in town and can stay with him however she has nothing else.

she lost her Laptop for school and all her belongings!

 

we are collecting clothing donations and other items for her but she will need some money to replace additional items and her laptop!

 

Our healthcare workers have sacrificed so much to care for seniors these past two year and in particular this holiday season!
