Hazel's PCHF Fundraiser for OMS Research

At the end of May 2022, Miss Hazel was diagnosed with an extremely rare neurological condition called OMS (Opsoclonus Myoclonus Ataxia Syndrome). This condition affects 1 in 10 million worldwide and typically has a diagnosis age of children 12-18 months. A maximum 3% of those with the condition are Hazels age, making her a 1 in 300 million case! Treatment options have been documented however there are very limited studies or information on infants as young as Hazel.
Thankfully, OMS (and the resulting neuroblastoma or ganglioneuroblastoma) is not genetic, so Hazel's twin Georgia is free from this disease and future complications.

With a long road ahead of us at Perth Childrens Hospital, we are looking at money options: not for us, but for the research that can help not only Hazel but many other children in WA (and possibly worldwide). If you have a spare $2, please consider donating to this worthy cause. You never know when your children will get sick and how their quality of life will be affected.
Thank you for all your love, support and, ultimately, your donations.
If money is not an option, please also consider donating blood or plasma at your local Australian Red Cross. Hazel will be receiving monthly IVIG treatments made partially from donated plasma. You could directly help save our daughter's life and those of others just by donating blood, which is just as important as money.

In the past 24 years we've contributed over $83 million with a further $25 million committed over the next five years.
