Ellie’s Medical Bills

Donation protected
As most of you know, my sweet girl Ellie passed away December 30th. About 12 days prior to her passing she had become very lethargic and wouldn’t eat which was completely unlike her. I took her to the vet and the diagnosed her with pancreatitis, they gave her some fluids to help with dehydration through and IV and told me to take her home and give her the medicines they prescribed and keep a close eye on her. I took her back two days later because nothing had changed and I wanted to stay on top of the situation and they decided to give her more fluids and to send us home reassuring me her behavior was normal and her pancreas needed to rest anyways so her not eating was okay. After four more days I decided to take her back again and ask for them to run more tests or do an ultrasound or just something else to be sure there wasn’t something they missed and the doctor talked me out of getting an ultrasound and told me again not to be worried and everything was normal for her having pancreatitis. Two days later I was fed up and scared so I decided to take her to the emergency vet clinic at 10:30pm where I requested an ultrasound and was told nothing looked bad or alarming but she was dehydrated so they pushed more fluids and gave her a shot for nausea and sent us home. The next day my brother called while I was leaving work and said she wasn’t acting right and had fallen down so I told him to meet me at one of the regular vet clinics the emergency vet had recommended to me the night before because I didn’t want to take her back to the same place I had taken her ever again. The new clinic decided to hospitalize her finally, which I should’ve pushed for long before. I got a call later that evening that she had passed away and they did everything they could. I went to pick up her body the next day and the doctor didn’t even speak to me, I was told at the front desk how much it was going to cost and to pull around the back and they’d bring her out to my car and that was it. I’m obviously left very confused and heartbroken and I know a lot of you were wondering what happened. Sorry the story is so long but if any of you ever go through something like this, put your foot down when your gut is telling you something is wrong. She was only 2 and a half and a very healthy dog.. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help at all, I don’t expect the full goal to be met but literally anything will help!
