Karen and Carole here, wanting desperately to help a long time friend and 'member' of our south of the border family. Laura Valdez was hit by a car while waiting for the bus yesterday, and has severe multiple injuries. She's currently in the hospital awaiting required surgeries.

Living in San Jose de Guaymas, Laura has been in service to the community of San Carlos for over 30 years. All funds collected via GFM are going directly to Ramón Valdez Perez (Listed Beneficiary and Laura's brother) to pay her mounting medical costs.
