The H.O.P.E. Project of North Carolina
(Helping Other People Emerge)
Mission Statement:
The H.O.P.E. Project of North Carolina is a movement, it is for all in need, it is so life can be lived with less stress and greater confidence. We are on the move to provide needed services that help support basic human comfort and in-home habitability. Everyone has needs and because of life circumstances, some are more significant than the needs of others. It is on this understanding that children and senior citizens are at the heart of our driven compassion to offer hope.
Vision Statement:
Helping other people emerge calls for compassion, empathy, understanding, and a desire to serve with a self-less attitude. North Carolina is a place of history: victories, and defeats; made up of people from an array of backgrounds, nationalities, ethnicities; people who are rich and those that are not. The H.O.P.E. Project of North Carolina has emerged to help others rise above the many hardships life can bring.
What we do:
Primarily, we provide low cost\no cost Pest Control and Bed Bug Eradication for seniors, individuals with disabilities and Hospice patients, and low income and fixed income individuals and families. Some of the clients which have been denied in-home care because of the presence of insect activity. We are also working with families of daycare and grade school children who are experiencing pest control issues at home. Several of these children have had insects discovered on them at school and have been humiliated, embarrassed, and bullied. In addition to pest control, we provide replacement of dilapidated furniture and appliances, as they become available, by donations.
To assist in fulfilling the Mission and Vision of the H.O.P.E. Project, we have adopted some of the fundamentals of “Intense Family Preservation”, which is a model used by many social and child advocacies. Our 12-month emergence program allows us to build relationships with families and individuals that desire to embrace our assistance in introducing and strengthening life skills. The program includes life coaching and networking to help build self-confidence,
self-esteem, self-value, and self-worth. We aim to provide the hope necessary for our clients to know a brighter future is obtainable, but we must begin building it now.
