Pet surgery for Monkey's broken leg

Hi! My name is Elise and I'm raising money to pay for surgery for my kitten, Monkey. Monkey's an 8 week old kitten that currently weighs slightly more than a loaf of bread. A friend and I found Monkey crouched in a bush, filthy and frail, outside of a Grease Monkey (hence the name.)

After taking her to the vet, we discovered that Monkey has a severely broken leg. The bone didn't break cleanly, but instead fractured in a spiral. The estimate I recieved for fixing her leg is $3,400 - $3,900. I've consulted three other orthopedic surgeons to try to find a lower price, but all of them are unwilling to do the surgery due to the intricacy and invasiveness required. While I would absolutely love to raise enough money to get her back to full functionality, amputation is also an option but would still cost $2,500. Monkey is my whole world right now and it kills me inside to see her constantly shivering in pain and unable to walk more than a few steps at a time. I'm currently a college student and don't have an incredible amount of money to spare, so every little bit donated makes a huge difference.
