Petals to Recovery

Three weeks ago our world was picked up, flipped upside down, and slammed down to the ground. We learned that our Mom, my dad's wife and our best friend has breast cancer that has already made its way into at least one lymph node. Once cancer is in the lymph nodes the danger of it spreading to other parts of the body becomes a real possibility, listening to this left us heartbroken.  As if the word cancer isn’t scary enough on its own, this makes it so much more terrifying. We decided as a family to fight this with everything we have. We don’t know exactly what twists and turns this journey has in store for us, but we do know that our lives as we knew it just three weeks ago is changed forever. The research has already begun, and the changes to our everyday lives starts now. As her oldest daughter, I wanted to create this page to help lessen the financial burden that this journey will bring to my parents; they have so much to deal with already. The beautiful thing is that she has received so much support from family, friends, and strangers; we as a family are so thankful to each person for putting a smile on her beautiful face. From the bottom of our hearts, I ask on behalf of my dad and three younger sisters to join and support us through our Mom's Petals To Recovery……
