Mamas "Badstuff"!!

I met Pete actually through being his penpal in prison. His mother, Wilma, was one of my greatest friends ever, and she told me one day, "You know, I have a son that's locked up and would love to have someone write to besides me." I told her, "I don't know. You know I'm dating your other son, not him." And proceeded to ask if she was sure that Steven was not going to have a problem with me writing his brother in jail? She said, "Oh honey, I'll take care of that." So she gave me the address, and I wrote to him, and he wrote back, and we became best friends for life. Literally, Pete was the best brother I could have had. He was always kind and sweet. He always made sure to make us smile when we were down and out. He always made sure to be there if I was in the hospital or at home sick because of my illnesses, and he always had that way to make me smile and feel better. He always mafe me feel like I was a good friend. He would always say I wasn't a friend that I was More than that, I was his sister. He was one of the best people that I could have ever met in my life. He didn't just NOT deserve what happened to him, but his brother didn't deserve to lose him. We didn't deserve to lose him. He did not deserve to get what happened to him. He was born and raised in Garland/Dallas, Texas, with his family, the Washingtons and the Castillos. And they are horribly beside themselves. They can't believe this has happened. This has taken us by surprise and has hurt us more than ever. Here in San Antonio, we made it home in 2009, and he followed his brother and made it his home as well. We both worked at John Silver's here off of Blanco, that was infamous at one time. That's now torn down. We've had the best memories here in San Antonio, but we have now experienced the worst memory, and that was losing him. He made life fun. He always looked at the brighter side of things, and if you didn't like to see the brighter side of things, he made sure to make you see them. He made sure to make you laugh and smile. I hope that they find whoever did this to him for the sake of our family. Because our family wants justice and wants knowledge of what happened to him. If you're not able to donate, please donate your time to read and remember him.

We are unable to come up with the funds for his cremation or burial. We're still trying to decide on what to do. I believe that the family is going to get together and figure out what to do. He leaves behind his brother, Steven, his sis Sheena (that's me), his Pop Pete Sr., a ton of friends, a ton of family members, and also leaves behind a baby mama and his son Kyliene, who is 2. We're so glad that he left a part of him behind. He will be terribly missed, and no words can explain the feelings and emotions we have today. Just a sad thing. Hopefully, the next person is able to give, even if it's a dollar, to help us remember him and let others know what happened and be aware of what could happen. In advance, we'd like to thank you for all your help, and even if you're just reading this, this helps enough.
