My Neme is Nelson Nadeau.

Pete Gleason and I have been close friends and Band Mates for close to 50 years!

Whether it was The Summit Band, Sweet and Savage, Straight Lace, Never The Less, or Kahtunes, Pete’s voice has been enjoyed by thousands all over the New England area.

Our lives were changed drastically last year when Pete was diagnosed with Terminal Pancreatic Cancer with his Doctors giving him a 12-month window to get his final arrangements in order.

Surgery, Chemo, and other treatments have wiped him out both Physically and Financially. Unable to work, the ability to pay his medical bills on top of his regular monthly bills has been robbing him of the positive energy he needs to survive.

While listening to one of my best friends explain his situation I found myself thinking “OH MY GOD! THIS GUY HAS BEEN ENTERTAINING PEOPLE HIS WHOLE LIFE! WHAT CAN I POSSIBLY DO TO HELP? WHO COULD I CALL ON FOR SUPPORT?

It was at that point that I realized he needed help from our entire community and beyond.

With the end result being the same no matter what direction he takes, Pete has decided to forego any further surgeries and chemo choosing QUALITY OF LIFE while maintaining a POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE and letting GOD, not his Doctors decide when it’s his time to come home!

I / We have started this GO FUND ME account to help ease the burden of his Medical Bills and Final Expenses. When I asked him between his 4 adult Children and 7 Grandchildren who he wanted to pass his guitars and other equipment on to he said “I THINK IM GOING TO HAVE TO SELL IT ALL IN ORDER TO BUY A DECENT HEAD STONE!”

Your donations no matter how large or small will go towards helping Pete with his final expenses so that when the time comes his kids will have his guitars and equipment to cherish and he can REST IN PEACE underneath a beautiful Headstone of his own choice!
