Pete Hillman High-One Fund

Anyone who knew and loved Pete Hillman (aka P.T. to his grandkids) knows how he loved sports of any kind.   Much of his time revolved around athletics whether it was as a fan, playing them himself,  watching and coaching his 4 children, and in more recent years watching his grandchildren.  These were his favorite times. He believed that sports and all of their lessons were significant to a young person and he would want to make sure that nothing kept a kid from playing a game he loved.

"High One" comes from PT's legacy of touching index fingers rather than the traditional high five.   High ones were  his earliest interactions with his grandchildren and how he made friends with every child he interacted with.  The signal of one raised index finger is a symbol of We’re Number One, We are the Champions. To create a "High One", two or more join together, with this symbol.  Just like all the best teams, individuals must come together and form as One.

To honor his love of games, in lieu of flowers, his family asks that you contribute to the Pete Hillman High-One Fund where the money will be donated to youth sports organizations for underprivileged kids.
