Peter and Christine Halpin

Hi everyone my name is Koert Halpin. I'm trying to raise funds for my brother Peter and his wife Christine. Both Peter and Christine teach at St Monica Academy in Montrose California and have three beautiful children. Christine recently had a surgical procedure and has had to return to the hospital because of some complications. We're confident that she'll be home very soon but they could definitely use some help right now. They have some medical insurance but there are substantial delays with their coverage. Please try and help this wonderful family get through a difficult time. All of your support and prayers are greatly appreciated.

-July 1st update- Christine had a scheduled surgery about 2 weeks ago. After several days she started experiencing chest pains and had to go into the hospital this last Thursday where they did a CT scan and found some blood clots. They are trying blood thinners but have to monitor how this will affect the stitching from her recent surgery. It's a balancing act right now between healing the clots and minimizing blood loss. We don't know how long she'll have to be monitored in the hospital at this point. All of your prayers and contributions have been such a blessing to Peter and Christine and they are so grateful for this outpouring of love and support. Please continue to keep them in your prayers and hopefully Christine will be home soon. Thank you all again for your incredible response to this request for help.

- July 7th update -

Christine came home from Arcadia Methodist on Tuesday. She is taking blood thinners and is being closely monitored by her physicians from her surgery. Her recovery will probably take awhile. She was weak when she left the hospital and she is trying to regain her strength. Thanks to everyone for the continued prayers and support.

- July 8th update -

Christine's progress has been mixed since she left the hospital. She had some blood work done and her doctor determined she needed a blood transfusion. They're going to the hospital where she had her original surgery in Orange County.

-July 18th update-

Christine has been recuperating at home since Friday July 14th. Her blood transfusion seems to have made a huge difference in her recovery. She is slowly getting her strength back and seems to be headed in the right direction. The blood clots will take some time to treat, but we're very hopeful that she is on the path to good health. Thank you all again for all the support.
