Peter Britt Saddlery is a small family owned business, owned and run by Peter and Melinda Britt. The saddlery has been operating in Scone and servicing the Upper Hunter for 20 years.

Why I'm fundraising

On 19th October Pete was admitted to hospital after becoming very ill with a Strep A super bug that had attacked his body. Pete went into septic shock and was put on life support as his body tried fighting. After multiple surgeries Pete has unfortunately lost the lower part of one leg. Pete has been in the burns unit at the Royal North Shore Hospital for over 6 weeks and is starting a very long road to recovery.

The impact of your support

As a result of this sudden illness both Pete and Mel have had to partially close their business which they both work at. Mel is travelling to Sydney and back every week to support Pete whilst also trying to run their small property and keep some work coming in. We would like to help in the short term with initial day to day costs of living and the lack of income which has affected them greatly.
