Peter Ferrito - Medical Intervention
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
If you know my husband Peter Ferrito, then you also know and have been a recipient of his generosity. He believes that everyone who crosses his path was sent by God, and that he has the blessed opportunity to connect with them. He continually strives to be of service and help anyone who is willing to receive it.
Now, he is the one in need of assistance. As many of you know, in 1996 he was involved in a fatal head-on collision with a young man who drove while intoxicated. It has reaped calamity upon his well-being. He has been through hundreds of hours of various therapies and doctor appointments over the last 25 years in an effort to reclaim his well-being. He continues to experience pain on a daily basis along with disabling peripheral neuropathy, axonal neuropathy, and dysautonomia. He is also pushing through mild cognitive impairment, seizures, and mixed sleep apnea.
Now, it appears his teeth are in need of major reconstructive work - and it is this new development that causes us to reach out. His jaw has been offset and locked since 1996 causing his back teeth to wear down. In addition, the neuropathy is causing dry mouth which is resulting in numerous cavities despite him brushing 3x a day. The prosthadontist expects that 6 teeth will needs crowns with some of them possibly needing build-up. Their convservative estimate is $15,000.
Quite honestly, we've incurred and paid over $50,000 of medical expenses in just the last 7 years alone. God has been faithful and continues to provide despite him becoming disabled 7 years ago. I have delved heavily into my retirement account, but my dad's heavenly voice is compelling me not to do that again.
Peter is the epitome of perseverance as he gets up every single day and purposely pursues ways to be of service and help others. He thoroughly enjoys staying in touch with family, friends, band directors, and former students whom he served diligently for many years through his company Team-Building Education, Inc.
So, first and foremost, we ask that we have your support through the power of prayer. This alone would mean so much. Beyond that, if you choose to contribute to this fund, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless!
