Peter Mernagh Medical Costs

Peter is a nurse working in A & E/MAU in University Hospital Galway. Pete is married to Lorraine, a hospice nurse and they have one daughter, Kiera.  Pete from Galway and Lorraine from Kilkenny met in the UK when they were both training to be nurses. After they married they decided to come home to Ireland and Peter persuaded Lorraine to head West to Galway. 

In March 2018,  Pete ended up in in A & E himself with suspected kidney stones but an x-ray showed a massive tumour on his kidney. Their world was turned upside down when Pete was diagnosed with a stage 3 renal cell cancer.  His best option was an operation to remove the kidney. Unfortunately the removal of the kidney did not remove all of the cancer.

Pete is no longer able to work and is no longer receiving sick pay from work. He needs to take medication daily plus weekly injections, they have used all of their savings to fund this treatment to date and Pete now need funds urgently.

Pete and Lorraine have spent their lives caring for others and now they are the ones that need your help. I know money can be tight but if you could support my Go Fund me, by making any donation big or small and sharing with your network, it would be greatly appreciated.
