Peter O'Sullivan. Please help the Sully Shuffle

Peter O’Sullivan – or ‘Sully’ to his many friends and admirers – is a former professional football player who played nearly 500 matches for Brighton & Hove Albion between 1970 and 1981. In June 2022, Peter – who also represented Wales, Fulham and many other non-league clubs in his adaptive Sussex – collapsed with a bleed on the brain and was admitted to hospital where he was kept alive on life-support. Although subsequently discharged, he has since been readmitted for further treatment, tests and observation. Peter suffers from dementia. Peter and his wife Kim have no immediate family in the Sussex area and the road to some kind of recovery – whatever that will entail – is shaping up to be long, convoluted and potentially expensive. Peter played at a time when footballers earned an average wage, especially compared to today. By contributing to this JustGiving page, you will be helping with ‘Sully’s’ recovery and enabling Kim to provide him with the practical support he so desperately needs. Thank you for taking the time to read ‘Sully’s’ story and please come back for updates on his progress, together with how your money is being spent.
