Peter Pal Gai Funeral and Repatriation

On Friday the 30th of July 2021, Peter Pal Gai sadly passed away after battling and enduring a long illness. Peter was a loving father, husband, brother, friend and grandfather.  Peter was a kind, gentle, generous and brave person who inspired everyone he has crossed paths with during his well-lived life.  He lived a life worth celebrating and honouring. Having devoted the vast majority of his life to the liberation and service of South Sudan, it is indisputable that Peter possesses a deep love for his people and country. Through his determination, commitment and leadership in the liberation of South Sudan,  it is safe to say that Peter won and commanded the respect of all his peers and colleagues. Peter will no doubt go down as a hero and will be dearly missed by all his family, friends and colleagues. It was Peter's wish to be laid to rest in his hometown. To fulfil Peter's wish, his family is raising money to repatriate his body back to South Sudan so that he may be buried in his hometown.
