Peter Shivers Memorial Fund For Isaiah

Hello Friends and Family,

Baseball. It’s been a part of my life from the beginning. As my love for the sport has grown over the years, my Dad, my best friend, and my biggest cheerleader, Peter, has been with me every step of the way.

On Sunday, August 15, our worlds changed forever when my Mom and I unexpectedly lost my Dad. We did everything together with baseball being the backbone for as long as I can remember, or better yet since my Dad was there for me from my first catch and my first swing.

In 2018, I joined the New York Nine - an organization that my Dad strongly believed and trusted would help me excel in the sport we love. He knew it would help shape me into the student-athlete I am today, and furthermore, prepare his son to fulfill his dream of one day, God willing, playing professional baseball.

In recognition of my Dad’s passion for the game and commitment to New York Nine, in lieu of flowers, my Mom and I ask that donations are directed to New York Nine in my Dad’s memory. The funds will help relieve some of my training and travel expenses and help other deserving student-athletes on their path to achieving our shared goal of continuing to play and enjoy the game we love! Baseball.

Dad, thank you for your enduring influence on the man I’m becoming. Thank you for leading me to an organization that has had such a profound impact on my life.

Although my No. 1 fan is now watching from above, I will still hear his cheers so very clearly.

Dad, I miss you and I love you!
