My Story:

In July, my friend Gwen referred me to Naomi for massage therapy. She described Naomi's therapeutic massage style as "life changing." At the time, I thought that was an odd way to describe it but LIFE CHANGING it has been. We had an instant connection likely stemming from our common love for Jesus. After hearing her story and experiencing her goodness, I felt called to help her in any way possible. Even though she is extremely solid physically, mentally and spiritually, as a single mother she struggles financially. Through the power of prayer, we were able to recently find her an amazing, safe, affordable rental home which she and her boys are loving!!

The funds generated will be used to help us furnish their new home with much needed necessities and for Christmas gifts for her and the boys. Might you consider giving $20, $50 or $100 to help them?

Like Mother Mary, Naomi said YES to two beautiful children when she could have made other easier choices. God bless you for helping this beautiful woman to feel God's amazing love this CHRISTmas season.

Naom's Story:

I was twenty-three when I became a mother. I was not married and was deep in a toxic and abusive relationship I felt stuck in. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in November of 2010. I tried my best to co-parent and work my way through the dysfunctional relationship with his father, but I ended up pregnant again after being raped by him in September of 2011. I gave birth to another beautiful baby boy in April of 2012. I would not have made it through either pregnancy or ever gotten out of the abusive relationship had it not been for Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center. They supported me with love and provided education about my pregnancy. They assigned professionals to guide me, advocate, and mentor me into making better life choices. They showered me with compassion, grace and love and encouraged me to do the best things for me and my babies. I found strength through their support to be a mother and fight for my health and children. I fought for 5 years through court proceedings both publicly and privately filed by the paternal grandparents, to get away from my boy's dad and keep my boys in my care. I started my healing journey about the same time and put myself through school to learn about trauma and what it does to the brain and body. In 2016 I won custodial custody of both my boys, and they were placed in my care full time with no visitation rights granted to their father. In 2017 I graduated from Massage Therapy School and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. I later got my Trauma Informed Yoga certification and Yomassage Certification to help others understand trauma and their bodies. I now help others learn to come into their own parasympathetic nervous system to find healing within their minds and bodies. I am a single mother, and my boys are now 13 and 11. My beautiful career in healing allows me to homeschool my boys, as they work through their own healing from the traumas, they went through so young. We are still healing and growing in many ways. Nothing is easy, but with Jesus all things are possible. He has been our provider and rock through every storm and battle. I cannot say much else about how we make it through every day. I know I am where I am now because of Jesus and everyone who follows Him and continues to shine His light and love upon us.
