Petrina Williams Memorial Fund

Hello. My name is Erin Williams, I am Petrina’s daughter-in-law. Let me just start by saying… if you know me it’s not easy for me to ask for help. But unfortunately we are running out of time and it has left us unprepared.

Petrina has been fighting a few battles in the last ten years. Pots (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) which left her wheel chair reliant. Shortly afterwards her battle with diabetes left her with extreme vision problems and kidney failure leading to dialysis 3 days a week. As if all that wasn’t enough for one person she was diagnosed with lymphoma. The doctors have made several attempts to treat her cancer however sadly they weren’t working.

Two weeks ago she gave us the news that the chemo was not working and there was no other treatment options available. The family, although devastated by the news remained blind to exactly how much time we really have left with Petrina. This past Wednesday we received a call from the nursing home that nobody was ready for!

Her remaining days with us are coming to an end. She is unable to attend dialysis now due to her low blood pressure and she hasn’t been able to hardly eat or drink, which means insulin hasn’t been administered any longer as well. Her poor body is shutting down Unfortunately she has no after life funds available and the time we thought we had to prepare is limited.

We are in hopes when the lord calls her home to give her a proper funeral and get her to her final resting place back in her birthplace of Danville, Virginia.

If you are able to help us in anyway possible with the days ahead of her family or even if it’s just prayers of comfort and peace for Petrina….. we appreciate it more than ever!!
