It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the
sudden passing of Petros (Peter) Timotheou in his 31st year, at Humber River Hospital, Toronto, on October 10, 2024. We are in disbelief that our precious Peter was taken so soon from us. His passing has left a void in our hearts that is too hard to bear. We are broken.

Dearly beloved son to Tina (late Mike) and brother to Efie, he was the rock that held the family together. Stepping into his father’s shoes, he was fiercely protective of both his mom and sister. He served as the anchor that supported our unconditional love and unbreakable bond. He was a gentle bear with a pure heart that held no hypocrisy or hidden motives. He was kind and caring and would help anyone that he could. His possessions were more valuable when he could give them to others and see the happiness it brought to them. His last days are marked with his generous spirit, compassion for others, and willingness to help people in need.

A proud Cypriot, Peter loved his culture and respected the customs and values immensely. He cherished his many summers abroad and had a great love of Greek and Euro music as reflected in many home videos. He had unwavering faith and a great respect for religion. A cross was always around his neck which he wore with reverence and spiritual understanding.

Peter had a passion for game streaming and built a network of friends within the online community. He had close ties and many connections with other like-minded individuals which he treasured. He was happy and content while streaming and often attended tournaments leaving him with many unforgettable moments. He could be social and loud, and he could be quiet and private. There were many layers that only those who knew him could understand. He cared deeply for the people closest to him which was demonstrated in the significant relationships held in his short life.

He was a sports fan and loyal to the Toronto Maple Leaf’s no matter
what. Many screams, chants and tears were spilled for his team, but he kept the confidence that this would be the year the cup would come home. He was also a car enthusiast and was very much looking forward to getting his latest car on the road. Peter had a lot of knowledge of many things, specifically technology. He was the “guy” to call when you couldn’t figure out what was wrong with any of your devices. He would fix your issue without making you feel incompetent and hand it over with that beautiful smile. We know that you have left a lasting impression on all who crossed your path.

Peter was the cherished grandson of his late grandparents Petros &
Georgia Timotheou and Michael and Efimia Christodoulou. He leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Chrisa, Kathy and Fernando, Rikkos and Maria, and Lia and Chris who adored him greatly. He will be missed by his many cousins and friends and remembered specifically for his sense of humour by his cousins Michael and Efimia. He was predeceased by his Aunt Helen who had great love for him as her first nephew.

There are no words to express the love we have for you. As the tears flow, we realize there are too many stories and the memories too raw to share. You will live in our hearts forever. Αιώνια η Mνήμη. Καλό παράδεισο, dear son and brother. May your memory be eternal.

Your loving mom and sister, Tina and Efie.
