Sophia's Medical Bills

Hey! Most of you know me as Mo and I am super appreciative that you are even here reading this about Sophia. She is one of my best friends who has been living with me for the past couple months to prepare for her baby coming in a week on the 9th. Her and her son, Malachi(5) have been such a beautiful blessing to our home and I swear I'm the one who is lucky to have her. She has had one of the hardest roads ever in her life the past 9 months carrying a child as a single mom without the help of the Father to support her. Long story short, she ended up going the adoption route and it has been everything but easy. She is a week from delivering and is finding that she will more than likely be denied medicaid...She would like to receive counseling post relinquishing the child and provide it for her son who will be experiencing the loss of a sibling IN ADDITION to just birthing a child and being off work for a couple of months to process through everything. Honestly, I want her to feel like she doesn't have to worry about a financial burden on top of all of that. I want her to feel the love and support of a community around her, helping her with whatever she needs. We have hit crunch time. A week out she is on maternity leave and can't relax because she is trying to argue her case with Medicaid and at the same time a family that was going to adopt, respectfully had to pull back a couple weeks ago. More than likely she will not be able to adopt at birth because of the lawyer fees and coming to a decision on a new family. Please consider helping her relax about the finances and have a chance to cope and process everything going on for both her and her son. Thanks so much.
