On January 3rd 2022, a car crashed through the storefront of Food Near Me on North Pearl Street. This establishment is known for providing homemade food and household goods. Food Near Me is a light in its neighborhood because of its owner. Kevin Skeen not only shines as an example of being a successful Black-owned business in Albany but takes the time to pay it forward.

Mr. Skeen has used his influence as a convenience store owner to build educational programs for local youth to engage in. He is promoting health and wellness through his store and pouring resources into his community.  This local unsung hero needs our help to repair damages made to his storefront. It's imperative that we support him during this time so he can continue to enrich our neighborhood and future generations.
