I can't believe I'm writing this. I can't believe I have to write this. I need to try help my sister and her family the best I can. And now that means swallowing pride and asking for help from all of you.
On September 26th, 2019, Mark Rodgers, my sister Michelle's husband, was rushed to the hospital with after suffering a massive heart attack. Although, Michelle and their daughters were attempting CPR, he did not have a heartbeat for a very long time. Although the extent of the damage to his heart and brain are still not known, the length of time he was gone is not promising.
Mark was the breadwinner for the family, and has always supported Michelle and their four young daughters. Originally working in a steel plant, and then after a devastating back injury, Mark dedicated his professional life to helping others and became a nurse.
Michelle is now trying to make ends meet driving food deliveries, which takes her away from her daughters that just witnessed the trauma of the father's heart attack. The children need her now more than ever.
To make matters worse, her children were witnesses as Michelle was rushed to the ER on the evening of 9/29 with blood pressure soaring well over 200 after a full day of driving.
If you can find it in your heart to please lend a hand, in any amount, I would really like to help Michelle be there for her girls, and after that, the medical bills that will soon be on their way.
