Courtney Strong

Courtney was involved in a serious car accident on the night of Monday March 26th. Her injuries were severe, she spent over a week in the icu and over a month in the hospital. Since the night of the accident to now she has a long list of diagnosis:
-Intraparenchymal hemorrhage of the brain
- Transverse Sinus Thrombosis
-Traumatic Brain Injury
- Mandibular Fracture
- Maxillary Fracture
-Dysphagia
-unilateral vocal cord paralysis (right)
-degloving of left foot
-displaced pilon Fracture of left tibia
Right fibula Fracture
-right hemiparesis
-brachial plexipathy
-T1, 2, 3 Fracture
Courtney is a strong girl and is currently in rehab and continuing to get stronger! She is working on her right side and particularly the right arm. She has been able to move her arm back and lift it up but still is waiting for the hand movement to come. For Courtney the future also holds a bone graft to the maxilla and several implants and hopefully she will not need a skin graft to the left foot/ankle.
They are thinking she will need in home therapy and then outpatient neurological therapy. With all the medical attention she has received and will need to continue to receive you can only imagine the extent of what the bills will be. Courtney lives at home with just her mother. Her mom is currently out of work until she returns home. Courtney was taking college classes at the time in hopes to pursue in the dental field. Courtney has been a dancer ever since she can remember as she was also a dance instructor to little girls at the time of the accident. Courtney is pushing hard to get back to the life she knows, but she needs your help. Through many prayers (they have gotten us this far, they truly do wonders) and any financial way that you may help. If everyone pitched in any way they could it would go a long way. Please keep Courtney’s mom and her in your budget sheets as long as we can.
