PGPD Explorers Division II Conference 2023

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and learn more about our program.
This year, the Explorers have the opportunity to travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the 2023 Summer Showdown. There they will spend the week competing against posts across the nation and participating in team building activities. The competitions range from call based scenarios to tactical decision making.
Division II Explorers is a 501c3 non-profit organization geared toward mentoring and career based training to youth, ages 10-20, who are interested in a future in Public Safety. While the program is fully supported by the Prince George's County Police department, it is not funded by the department and all uniforms, equipment and competition fees are paid for through the fundraising efforts of the post.
Our Explorers learn attention to detail, self-discipline, physical fitness, self-confidence, academic excellence, life skills, and community service. Each year, the Division II post completes more than 6,000 hours of community based service and have been the recipients of many awards including Post of the Year and The Gold Community Service Award given by the President of the United States of America.
All current fundraising efforts will be used for uniforms, travel expenses and accommodations while in Tennessee. Every little bit helps and we thank you in advance for your support.
