Celebrating the Life of Tracy Joanne Potts
Donation protected
Peace and Blessings to you all. My name is Joanne Gillum, mother of Tracy Joanne Potts, my firstborn daughter. Also known as, TeePotts, and TracyStillStandingPotts.
Tracy passed away on August 4, 2023. She sought medical care and was treated and released from the medical facility - more than once - having been told there was no cancer in her body. Tracy got progressively worse and was then referred to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, where she was examined and told she had stage 4 cancer in her liver and both lungs. By this time, comfort care was all that could be offered. Johns Hopkins referred Tracy to a hospice center and she passed within two weeks. With a lack of care, Tracy's illness progressed rapidly. Both her illness and her death were unexpected for her young age.
Because of Tracy's late-stage diagnosis, it was required that she be heavily medicated for comfort care. The family was therefore unable to communicate with her. As a result, so far, the family has not been able to locate an insurance policy. The expenses of the funeral home and cemetery are greater than we can afford. We are working with Brisco-Tonic Funeral Home of Waldorf, Maryland.
Tracy served as Elder, Evangelist, and Missionary. We hope to celebrate the life of this child of God on August 16th, 2023.
We ask that you please donate to help the family honor and celebrate Tracy's life. Your donation in any amount will help us reach the goal of $25,000 to provide a respectable funeral service for Tracy on August 16th.
Thank you in advance for your support. Please pray for our family.
May the Lord richly Bless You!
