Help after car accident

It is with a true open heart that I share my story with you and loose all shame as I find myself in true desperate need for your help! Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and I appreciate you sharing with your close circles.

My name is Tania but some of you may know me as Alejandra. I am a single mom of two amazing boys! And it is for them that I am loosing all reservations and asking for help as I truly need it during this difficult time.

On October 8th, I was involved in a terrible car accident. I feel extremely lucky to have survived this new-death experience that was both terrifying and life changing. I do have to say I am so glad to have been the only one in the car at the time that these events happened and that nobody else was hurt.

Unfortunately during the accident I sustained three separate blows to my head that have left me with a concussion and daily lasting effects such as nausea, dizziness, migraines among other symptoms. In addition I suffered an injury to my left knee that was caused by the impact against an electricity pole.

I am now on short term medical leave from my job, which means my income will be impacted during the upcoming months which includes Christmas. There have been multiple expenses since the car accident that have made me be completely short for the upcoming November rent. I do have car insurance but they have limits and restrictions as to what is claimable and what is not. For example I am in need of a custom-made knee brace which costs $500+ dollars. I am also in need of renting a car for at least a month until a car becomes available. Not all costs will be covered by insurance so they are to come out of pocket.

Things were already financially difficult as they can as a single mom. This year unfortunately I also experienced a physical assault that led me to a very difficult break up and drove me to pack up and leave and find a new place to call home for me and my kids.

Unfortunately not having family that lives in the same country as I do makes it even harder at times. I am grateful to have friends that are like family though!

But as a well known quote by Budha says: “No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.” And that’s exactly what I am trying to do, but I’ve learned through this journey that it is also okay and you are allowed to admit you need other’s help. Please know your kindness and help during this difficult time is much appreciated. I will be forever grateful for you helping me be able to continue to provide for me and my kids during this rough patch. Anything helps! And for those that are unable to help at this time, no problem! Know that prayer and sending good positive energy is also welcomed!
