After researching other places, I have chosen the nonprofit organization Equal Justice Initiative. Below, you will find more info about them and their mission.

In order to celebrate the 46 years of life that George Floyd lived, I am running 46 miles on July 19th to raise $4,600.00 in his name.

All donations made on my Go Fund Me page will go to Equal Justice Initiative. Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.

I am running not only for George Floyd’s short-lived years but for my black family and friends. I hear you. I hold you near and dear to my heart. I will never be able to completely understand all that you’ve endured, but I will stand with you. I will use my voice to help promote any kind of positive change in this world because I believe black voices matter.
