PHASES - A New Play Reading
Donation protected
PHASES is a character driven, speculative sci-fi play by Samuel-Taylor that will debut as a staged reading at The Black Box at Playwrights Downtown for an invited audience.
Our team consists entirely of BIPOC artists and artists from underrepresented groups. We believe that the power of storytelling can illicit a moment self reflection and hope to create an atmosphere that promotes a discussion of inclusivity, social activism and friendship.
Autumn Angelettie directs a cast featuring Alex Fox (Disney Television Discovers Showcase), Angelica McEwan (Ground), Bethlehem Million (Sick, And Just Like That), Naomi Honig (Disney Television Discovers Showcase), and Samuel-Taylor (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Big Shot). Produced by Angelica McEwan.

Personal Statement (Alex Fox):
This play stands not only as an important reminder and reflection on where our future is potentially headed, but also as a culmination of our team's friendship and aspirations as creatives. The entire team has been wanting to work together for a months, so we decided why not go ahead and make it happen!
As we all try our best to thrive in this confusing and tumultuous time of social media and much needed social activism, we hope that our play can holistically portray the common struggles of a 20-something year old, in a heightened version of this time period in history.
If you've read this, thank you so much for taking the time. We hope to see you there.
