PHD Family Welfare Foundation

I am so excited to announce that the PHD board has decided to match our fundraiser with another $250, making our total impact $2,400 USD (201,000 Indian Rupees!)

The PHD Family Welfare Foundation is one of India's biggest Women and Children's Organizations, teaching low-income women and children practical skills for the job market, including classes on how to use a computer, manage a retail store, and basic English and math. PHD furthers its mission by deploying healthcare vans to rural areas around New Delhi, giving out vital medication and treatment to anyone who needs it.

I got the opportunity to volunteer with this organization during the summer of 2023, and I fell in love with PHD's mission to not only help in the moment, but break the cycle of poverty for good. I documented my experience and created a short documentary about the incredible mission of PHD. I hope you fall in love with their mission as well, and in turn help support this amazing organization.
