Mike Johnstone

We are fundraising in honour of Mike and sharing his story to help his loved ones during this difficult time.

Mike had been struggling for some time with migraines and on the morning of October 05, Mike was scheduled for a CT scan. Just hours later, he was rushed to Mississauga Trillium hospital after the discovery of a rare benign brain tumour. That same day, after the hospital did an additional MRI, he was rushed into surgery that evening.

The family was aware of the risks he would face during surgery. With some hope, they were able to remove sixty-percent of the brain tumour, however due to post-operative complications, he suffered severe brain damage and multiple strokes. After a long hard fight, the family tragically said goodbye to Mike on October 13, 2024 at 11:43 a.m.

Mikes leaves behind his beautiful fiancé Nicole and their two children Jamison 11, and Sophie 3 years old. Parents Jamie and Diane, sister Heather, brother Patrick, and his niece and nephews Aria, Raine, Quinton and Wren. Mike was a hard-working father and veteran who proudly served in the British Army.

Mike had a lot of prospects on the horizon and his sudden passing has left his family in disbelief. We are hoping to support in the best way we can by providing this platform to contribute on behalf of our veteran father, son, brother and friend.
