His diabetes has caused many medical hardships, which included kidney failure.
After almost 18 months of dialysis, his loving wife, Susie, was approved to give Phil the gift of a new life. She became a living donor to her husband.
The kidney transplant took place on April 23rd. Everything was going well and both were recovering at home until another complication occurred.
Philip has now been diagnosed with multiple blood clots. He is currently being treated at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
Throughout this process they have been blessed to have a strong and caring community of friends and family who have helped in countless ways.
