The Philadelphia Musicians' Relief Fund has a new online home! We have migrated from GoFundMe to WeDid.it.
In the wake of the flooding and destruction of Hurricane Ida, we have also launched a new, Disaster Relief Campaign for Musicians Affected by Hurricane Ida.
Contributions to this campaign will assist musicians with storm recovery expenses like home repair, flood remediation, tree removal, equipment and/or instrument replacement or repair, and emergency housing costs. We will contribute any surplus funds from this campaign to relief efforts for our brother and sister musicians in New Orleans, Louisiana, who have suffered the worst of Ida's wrath.
Words cannot adequately express our thanks for the sustained support from our community — music lovers and fellow musicians alike.
While we have ceased accepting donations here, this GoFundMe page will remain up as a document of our genesis and growth, and as a testament to the incredible generosity of the more than one thousand donors who have assisted Philadelphia musicians from the very first days of the coronavirus pandemic.
Would you do us the favor of visiting us at our new site ?
The wedid.it platform features better (and instant!) documentation for donors’ tax-deductible contributions and offers much richer analytics and fundraising tools for us so we can continue to grow and help the many independent musicians who are only just beginning to regain their footing in the midst of the ongoing public health crisis.
We are, as ever, beyond grateful for your continued generosity and wish you and yours a happy and safe Labor Day Weekend.
Sincerely,
The Philadephia Musicians Relief Fund
