Philip Scott House Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On August 8, tragedy struck one of our LFP neighbors on 53rd Ave NE. By 2:15pm, Phil Scott's house was fully engulfed. Thanks to the amazingly swift work of our local police and fire department personnel (14 vehicles at one point!), other homes were saved and the fire was quickly put out.
First, Phil is physically fine. He’s been released from the hospital and he’s staying with his dad, so his immediate need for somewhere to stay and someone to take care of him is covered.
Second, nothing can be salvaged from the house. The smoke damage was too much.
While we hope home insurance will cover most, if not all, of the damage, we all know that there will be lots of incidental costs and delays. We want to band together as a community to give him some financial buffer to weather this storm.
Craig Zajac has been in contact with Phil, so we will get him the funds as quickly as possible to help in his time of need.
