Philippa Anderson & Jackson Baker

Philippa Anderson and Jackson Baker are two surfers loved by the Newcastle Surfing Community. Both have qualified for the World Challenger Series events to be held in California, Portugal , France and Hawaii from September to December2021.

The Challenger Series determines the surfers that compete on the 2022 World Championship Tour. Philippa is ripping and is so close to realising her ten year plus WCT dream, and Jackson is in his career best form, both are a few good heats away from joining Morgan and Ryan on the WCT in 2022.

Philz and Jacko are currently working hard to scrape together enough money for the horrendous travel costs of world COVID travel plus balancing training hard to be in peak competitive form.

Let’s get behind these two inspirational Novocastrians and give them the best chance to represent Newcastle on the world stage.

Philippa and Jacko are always the first one to put their personal life on hold to help out the surfing community. Whether that be competing at club teams events, helping out the grommets or judging heat after heat on a cold winter day. They Bleed Back n Blue but more importantly they are proud Novocastrians and wear their heart on their sleeve for this great place we call home.
