Phillip Staab - Diagnosed AUL
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
- I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and hope. My beloved nephew, Phillip Staab, a bright and spirited 26-year-old, has been diagnosed with Acute Undifferentiated Leukemia (AUL). This news has shaken our family to the core, but we are determined to fight alongside Phillip every step of the way.
Phillip is currently living in Northville, Michigan and has worked as a Design Engineer for II Stanley Automotive Lighting for 4-1/2 years. His girlfriend Christina, family, friends can tell you that Phillip has always been the light any gathering. He is a people person and thrives in his personal and professional relationships. His laughter and outgoing nature bring joy to everyone around him. Phillip loves helping others and finding meaningful connections with others. However, since his diagnosis, his world has drastically changed – from work and young love to hospitals and treatments.
The journey ahead is tough and uncertain. Phillip requires extensive medical care, including chemotherapy and possibly other treatments, which have brought financial challenges that he or the family were not prepared for. The medical expenses, along with the need for special care and support, are beyond our current means.
This is where we need your help. We are setting up this fundraising campaign to support Phillip's medical expenses, ensuring he receives the best possible treatment without the additional burden of financial stress on our family. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings Phillip closer to a healthier, brighter future.
Your support means more than just financial aid; it’s a gesture of love and solidarity that uplifts Phillip's spirits and strengthens our hope. Let’s come together for Phillip, to give him the chance to fight this battle and return to his joyful, vibrant life.
Phillip was diagnosed after experiencing some shoulder pain and Flu like symptoms before Christmas when he discovered a lump on his neck. After medical testing, cancer was confirmed January 4th 2024 at the University of Michigan. The current plan is that he will receive chemotherapy for approximately 4 months and once he is back to being fully healthy he will require a bone marrow replacement. The prognosis is that this is curable.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support. Together, we can make a difference in Phillip's life.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Donald Calhoun (Uncle of Phillip Staab)
