Phil Templeton Family Stepping Forward
Donation protected
From late January- all of Feb and all of March, Phil was cared for at Rex and Wake Med for sepsis, MRSA, amputation, stroke, rehab, and therapy. These 60 days were traumatic, overwhelming and staggering to live through with and for our family. This was the next chapter after years of diabetes complications, Tulosa Hunt Syndrome, wound care, and surgeries to regain better health.
Phil has now been home a month and making great strides to walking again (pun intended).
Phil asked me to set up a GoFundMe…to, in his words “support him and our family…I’ve never intended to be a burden on my family and it’s painful to know my kids have grown up seeing me ill more than healthy and have sacrificed due to my health situations. We must make decisions between paying my medical expenses or taking care of something for our kids.
While we have insurance, there are many things insurance doesn’t cover and those expenses are rolling in. We need help to pay for my CNA care, equipment, therapists and medication.”
Phil has physically healed and regained strength to prepare to walk again in the coming months…this is a dream that was so distant at times, we honestly weren’t sure would happen. The recovery is ongoing to regain memory and executive function.
Phil says daily he wants to help make a difference for his kids and get that new leg soon. We look forward to sharing the next Steps Forward with you. We are grateful for your prayers, love and support during this season. God Bless You.
