Pepere lost ALL in house FIRE
Donation protected
.Hi Everyone.
I received devastating news today about my Pepere (French for Grandfather). Let me first say that he is okay in the physical sense, Thank God for that.
His house caught fire today, January 20th. The worst kind of house fire... it has BURNED to the ground. Needless to say this is catastrophic as he has lost everything. All his possessions, clothing, furniture, appliances, pictures; there is nothing left. He escaped literally with the coat on his back and was treated for smoke inhalation.
This is the house my Great Pepere was born in which Pepere restored and renovated to a wonderful home for his children (Pauline, Donna and Sonia) and grandchildren (Melissa, Amanda, Megan, Melanie, Austin, Maddy) and great-grandchildren (Jeffrey, Carson, Maggy, Levi). The devastation is not just the house, but all the memories that went with it. So you can **only ** imagine the extra emotional strain this has caused him.
My family and I are sick with worry and are upset that we are not able to be there with him right now which makes this very difficult for all of us. He lives in New Brunswick, Canada, far away from our families to visit regularly.
If you ever met my Pepere, Walter, you know he is strong and proud, salt of the earth kinda guy. He doesn't complain much and would never ask for a hand out. And at 79 years of age, he still works for a living.
I'm asking you to search in your heart and consider helping him out. He is in a desperate state and could use some cash now. There is insurance money but I'm fairly certain it won't come close to covering the house, let alone everything else he must replace, in addition to taking care of his daily needs. We are unsure when/if the insurance money will be paid and he needs help now.
If you think you could help out financially please donate using this link.
Please keep my Pepere, Walter, in your thoughts and prayers.
Love, Melanie White
