Phoebe Chemo Help

Phoebe is a twelve years young beagle recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Luckily she’s in great health otherwise so is a good candidate for treatment, consisting of chemotherapy. She has little in the way of symptoms right now, for which we are thankful, but lymphoma is aggressive so it’s important to begin chemo ASAP so she can go into remission sooner than later.

I adopted Phoebe from BREW Beagle Rescue as a tiny pup in 2006. She’s been my delightful doghter ever since we founded each other. She is the simply the sweetest companion and everyone who meets her falls in love with her. I know that every dog is the best dog but she truly is one of the most special pups ever.

Being a newly senior dog hasn’t slowed her down much, and I can’t fathom letting her go when treatment can likely prolong her happy, healthy self for more years in our family.  Chemo for dogs is basically palliative care, and our vets feel this is the best course of action we can take so Phoebe remains comfortable and the cancer can go into remission. The cost is reasonable considering the bright prognosis, but it’s more than we can afford by ourselves, so we are humbly asking for help.
