phoebe’s third year of drama school

Hello everyone,
As many of you are aware, i’ve been away in London for the past 2 years following my dreams. I’m entering my third year with nowhere to live because I don’t qualify for the full government loan, I work as much as I can when I’m both at home or in London and this still doesn’t cover London rental prices.
There is a huge housing crisis especially for students in the country but specifically in London, rent is through the roof.
When I moved out at 18 to pursue my dreams, I was so proud and excited of what I was about to do, no one close to me had ever been to university and shared their experiences and I thought that the government funded everyone’s studies, this isn’t the case, I admit I was very naive.
I (as are many other students) are faced with the facts that their parents or guardians are expected to earn enough money to be able to pay for their children at university, this is not the case.
I am faced with the fears as September gets closer and closer that I may have to leave university, I am completely clueless of where I will be living due to the housing crisis as well as the cost of living crisis.
I am so determined to do everything I can independently to be able to complete my degree in musical theatre but I am asking for help- not much help and I don’t expect it at all because money is tight for everyone at this time.
The money raised will be used to go on a deposit for a room to rent and hopefully the odd food shop too!
My degree is so incredibly important to me because I want the chance to succeed in something which I feel so passionate about, I never thought I would get this opportunity when I was a little girl.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this even if you don’t donate, I think it is really important that some light gets shed on the situation that me and many others are facing, it is a subject which no one talks about
love you all loads xxx
