Phoenix Foundation: Holiday Gift Bags for Seniors

Hi, my name is Julie and I have started this project in 2018 to bring Christmas and happiness to the seniors in local retirement homes. Many of the elderly seniors that reside in care homes don’t have visitors and don’t receive cards or gifts at Christmas time.

 

During the pandemic, the seniors have been kept isolated in these homes, many have lost their spouses and other family members. This broke my heart and I decided that I wanted to make a difference to those that do not have families to celebrate with.

 

Each year, I’m dedicated to making Christmas gift bags containing items such as gifts, essentials, books and Christmas cards for those that unfortunately do not have their families around to celebrate with them.

 

Let’s reminds them that there is someone thinking of them. With your help we can do this!

 

With your help we will be able to brighten their holiday and hopefully make them not feel so alone. Support me in brightening up Christmas for the elderly and by helping to buy and create these gift bags and make someone's day.
