Photo Shoot Fundraiser Road Trip
Donation protected
On April 14, 2017, I announced to the world that I put in 2-weeks notice at my job to take AGoldPhoto full time. My first Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser was in July of 2016 and was hosted for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
The two-day event sold out and 30 dogs participated. Each time slot was 20 minutes, but each photo shoot only took about 10 minutes. I hosted a similar event for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in September and scheduled appointments every 10 minutes over 2 days and this time 38 dogs participated. I learned from my first event that I could schedule more dogs to participate by scheduling 10 minute shoots instead of 20.
Taking the Show on the Road
I use my Instagram (@agoldphoto) to share photos I have taken and in August of 2016, someone reached out to me about potentially traveling to Ft. Myers, Florida to take photos of her dog, which is about 2.5 hours from Tampa.
After I gave it some thought, I figured I could host a Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser in Ft Myers, just like the ones I have been hosting here in Tampa. I reached out to the Gulf Coast Humane Society explaining the idea and they loved it! I hosted my first Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser in Ft. Myers in September, 2016 and since then, I have hosted over 25 Pet Photo Shoot Fundraisers all over Florida and raised over $20,000.
Now that I am doing AGoldPhoto full time, I have time to travel and my first road trip will be up the east coast of the US the 2nd and 3rd week of August.
So far I have Pet Photo Shoot Fundraisers booked in...
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Asheville, NC
- Baltimore, MD
- Washington, D.C.
- Greenville, DC
- Charlotte, NC
- Atlanta, GA
- Tallahasee, FL
Goals of the Road Trip
The trip will last 10 days and the goal is to raise $3,600 by taking photos of 72 dogs. In order for this trip to make the most impact, I could use help funding some of the items I use for the photo shoots in addition to travel needs.
Funding the Road Trip
To keep costs low, I am booking fundraising events where I have friends and family so I don't have to pay for lodging, but I really could use help paying for gas, food, treats and the Facebook Ads I run to boost attendance at the event, which can be costly at times.
This is my first Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser Road Trip outside of Florida and my 30th Birthday is on August 21st (during the trip).
Instead of buying me a drink at the bar, can you help me fund my first Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser Road Trip?
