Photographic Nature Exhibition in Berlin

Donation protected
Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well and thank you very much for taking the time to read me! (specification of the usage of the funded money at the end of the description).

For those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself a little bit. I'm Juan, a nature lover from Ecuador and the world. But yes, my small but biodiverse country has taught me a lot to connect with nature. From a very young age I have always enjoyed doing outdoor activities. Whether it's going to the beach with my family or going on an expedition in the deep Amazon. Without realizing it I was feeding my soul and really doing what I loved. Along the way I started to capture those experiences with my camera to show people. To what end? Well, to share how much fun it can be to be outside. I was really naive, but sincere. This led me to taking the decision of wanting to preserve nature. But how? I was kind of good in math so I decided to study environmental engineering. This allowed me to understand in a more scientific and technical way how important it is for society to coexist and preserve the environment. Not only because nature is fun (yes, also for mental health), but also for our health, for our dignity and because we are part of this world. Together with engineering, and my passion for animals and landscapes I have been able to climb peaks in the Andes, and go into the sea of Galapagos. Aware of my privilege, and with a natural passion I began to portray this beautiful and at the same time difficult life. Animals and nature have come to give me that peace.

Photography has allowed me to understand more of myself and of the environment we lived in a more introspective way. Photography and nature allowed me to make me more human and that is why I have the opportunity to do a photo exhibition in Berlin in November. After graduating as an environmental engineer (yes, I chose this technical career to try to protect nature) I am consciously creating a new way of life for myself.

I am very excited about it and very grateful! Thank you for reading a little bit of my story and thank you in advance for being part of this project. I will use the money specifically for funding the costs of the exhibition. And if there is any money left, I will donate to support environmental projects in the Ecuadorian Amazon in the province of Napo :)
