Phyllis R. Miller Elementary Landscaping Improv.
Donation protected
Greetings!
The purpose of this email is to both inform you of my fundraising mission, as well as to potentially obtain your help. This year, my goal is to upgrade the facade of our neighborhood elementary school, Phyllis R. Miller. Our neighborhood school looks dated and tired and in need of intervention. I had a few successful meetings with Principal Emmanuel and Assistant Principal Montano about school improvements but school funds are limited for exterior landscaping improvements. Supporting this mission sends out a strong message to school staff and students that our community cares. I discussed with the team short and long term goals and my vision of a more inclusive school that compliments our great community. So, let’s get started and turn our school into a masterpiece!
There are multiple ways the community can volunteer in order to assist with this goal, and/or I will happily accept any donation you are kind enough to offer for the purchase of plants/trees among other improvements. Landscaping improvements will be phased out and divided in sections. My goal is to first transform the north-end facade of NE 87 Street and over time move towards other areas of the school. A small contribution that will reap long term benefits for the school and our community. Phyllis R. Miller will be the envy of many schools in the district it’s just a matter of time.
To kick-off this exciting fundraiser, I will be donating 60 Alexander Palms for NE 87 Street facade. The palms will be delivered this week and installation will occur in a week or so. Let me know as soon as possible, if you can assist with the installation of the palms.
Thank you for supporting your neighborhood elementary school!
